This is surprisingly good. I mean, from afar, I didn't know what to make of it, but from here, I see that there is a wonderful balance of detail and cartoonish simplicity.
I wish I could draw a male face like you do. Everything seems to fall right where you want it to -- his hair, eyes, mouth. And the horse is very well drawn, too. I've seen way too many badly drawn horses on this site. Like the man, the horse is a great balance of detail and simplicity. And it has so much character. It's not simply an animal to follow the man; it's a companion, in which I can see much of its own unspoken character.
This is very good. Things like this encourage me to look at the art of people whom I meet on the boards.
